Here is a perfect example of the simultaneous development of boards for the TIGA International Race Team and all TIGA sailors. Its shape, a revolutinary concept is the result of close collaboration between Hugues de Turkheim and the members of the Team. It has a triple-concave hullwith two series of ”steps”. This induces a ”spoon effect” which optimises the water flow as the board flow as the board goes through waves.
The board gets onto the plane on an air-pocket and its acceleration is immediate. Designed for medium winds, the Slalom 280 achieves its full potential in the winds of 12 knots and above. The excellent weight/volume rathio makes this board accessible to a wide range of sailors, especially those who are keen on speed and jibing.
